Compensation

We offer a unique team-oriented compensation plan that fosters collaboration not competition with an equal, guaranteed $400,000 salary for all surgeons. Owners also receive an equal share of the company’s distributions. There is a short one year or two-year track to be eligible for partnership (one year for an experienced surgeon/two years for a surgeon straight out of fellowship), with an extremely reasonable $10,000 buy in. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 and a relocation allowance of $5,000 is also provided.

 

Prior to ownership, physicians receive the same generous benefits package offered to all employees including medical, dental and vision with shared premiums and employer provided long term disability and life insurance. After becoming an owner, all premiums are fully covered by MAVI. There are also a variety of voluntary coverage options each year.

 

After one year of service, MAVI offers a 401k retirement plan with matching contributions of four percent when an employee invests five percent. Our investments are managed by Creative Planning, a nationally known and well-respected investment adviser company based locally in Overland Park, Kan.

Ownership benefits without the headaches
Dr. Deiparine appears in the top photo in 2016 when he signed his shareholder agreement as MAVI was being formed. Dr. Wagner was celebrated as MAVI's newest owner a short two years later.
